A pioneering, human-centered design initiative intended to unleash compassion in humanitarian services and create experiences of connection and meaning—for both affected populations and humanitarians.

Heather cultivated innovative partnerships with individuals and organizations around the world to co-create Amandi—including Medtronic, Life Is Good Kids Foundation, Mr. Simon Cohen, and Global Development Incubator, among others.

A systems innovation leadership program for CDC fellows. Designed around principles of equity, relationality, co-creation, emergence, and transformation, this program helps individuals step into their power by learning to work from a self to systems perspective.

Heather is the Program Steward and Co-Facilitator for this dynamic program, and also offers individual advising for program participants.

In collaboration with Compassion Institute, an initiative designed to support federal COVID-19 responders cope with stress and burnout through meaningful connection with colleagues, and develop strategies to regulate the nervous system and weave self-care into their daily routines.

Heather facilitated the co-creation process, helps to iterate the program based on evolving needs, and identifies additional need for the program in other public health systems throughout the nation.
